1. Overview

HackTac (“the App”) is a real-time tactical coordination application for airsoft and field games. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used.

By using HackTac, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you sign in, we collect:

Email address — provided by Google or Apple during authentication
Nickname — chosen by you during profile setup
User ID — a unique identifier generated for your account

We do not store your Google or Apple password. Authentication is handled entirely by Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple.

2.2 Precise Location

The App collects your precise GPS location, including when the App is running in the background.

Why: Location data is the core functionality of HackTac. It allows your team to see your position on the tactical map during a game session.

When: Location is collected only while you are an active participant in a game session. Location sharing stops when you leave a game.

Who sees it: Your location is visible only to players and staff in the same game session, according to role-based visibility rules enforced server-side. Players on opposing sides cannot see your location.

2.3 Game Activity Data

We store game-related information you create:

Tactical markers you place on the map
Your player status (alive / wounded / KIA) within a game
Your role, squad, and rank within a game

3. How We Use Your Data

Purpose	Data used

Enable game coordination features	Markers, status, squad data

We do not use your data for advertising, analytics profiling, or sell it to third parties.

4. Data Sharing

Your data is shared only in the following circumstances:

Within a game session — your location and nickname are visible to other participants according to the game's visibility rules
Supabase — our backend infrastructure provider. Data is stored and processed on Supabase servers.
Google — if you sign in with Google, subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Apple — if you sign in with Apple, subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

We do not share your data with any other third parties.

5. Data Retention

Location data: current location only — we store your most recent position, not a history of movements
Account data: retained until you delete your account
Game data: markers and game records are retained for the duration of the game and may be deleted by the game organizer or upon account deletion

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data (e.g., change your nickname in the app)
Delete your account and all associated data
Withdraw consent for location collection by revoking location permission in iOS Settings

7. Deleting Your Account

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly within the App:

Profile → Delete Account

Account deletion removes:

Your user profile and nickname
All game participation records
All markers you have created

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

8. Location Permission

HackTac requires “Always Allow” location permission to track your position while the app is in the background (e.g., when your phone is in your pocket during a game).

You can revoke this permission at any time in: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → HackTac

Revoking location permission will prevent the app from sharing your position with your team.

9. Children's Privacy

HackTac is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at shevchuk.vitalliy@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

10. Security

We use industry-standard security measures:

All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encrypted connections
Authentication is delegated to Google and Apple — we never handle your passwords
Access to game data is controlled server-side through role-based access rules (Row Level Security)

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Applicable Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Ukraine, in particular the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection” No. 2297-VI.

By using HackTac, you acknowledge that your personal data is processed in accordance with Ukrainian data protection legislation.
